Quality Through Leadership (QTL) opportunities with University of Winchester

The University of Winchester delivers National College Leadership modules in collaboration with school partners.

Applications for the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) must initially be made directly through the National College (via the DFE/National College website above).  Applicants who have already been allocated a place on the NPQH programme by the National College can register via the QTL website. National College scholarships may be available.

The National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders (NPQSL) is the new professional qualification for staff with responsibilities traditionally associated with senior leadership roles across more than one team and/or leading across a school, academy or children’s centre (for example, assistant head, deputy head, SENCO etc.) it is also appropriate for Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs), for staff who have responsibility for supporting other schools, and for staff who are keen to take up a senior leadership role in the future.  Application for NPQSL is via the QTL website. National College scholarships, administered by QTL may be available.

The National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQML) is the new professional qualification for staff with middle leadership responsibilities, or staff who aspire to middle leadership and are keen to seek promotion to middle leadership roles. It is relevant for a wide range of leaders and aspiring leaders at this level (for example, subject or curriculum leader, head of key stage, head of department, year head, head of house, gifted and talented co-ordinator, advanced skills teacher, assessment co-ordinator , career co-ordinator etc). Application for NPQML is via the QTL website. National College scholarships, administered by QTL may be available.
